* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southern Connecticut, including the following counties, Middlesex, New Haven and New London. * WHEN...Until 715 PM EST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 454 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jewett City, Middletown, Norwich, New London, Guilford, Colchester, Clinton, East Hampton, Groton, Old Saybrook, Durham, Salem, Chester, Mystic, Branford, Waterford, East Lyme, Ledyard, Cromwell and Griswold. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
