* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of western Kentucky, including the following counties, Caldwell, Christian, Hopkins, Lyon, McLean, Muhlenberg, Todd and Trigg. * WHEN...Until 900 AM CST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 431 AM CST, the public reported street flooding in Madisonville due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hopkinsville, Madisonville, Oak Grove, Princeton, Central City, Dawson Springs, Cadiz, Eddyville, Elkton, Calhoun, Fort Campbell, Woodlands Nature Station, Energy Lake Campground, Cravens Bay Campground, Wranglers Campground, Land Between The Lakes Area, Golden Pond Visitors Center, Demumbers Bay Campground, Turkey Bay and Birmingham Ferry Recreation Area.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
