* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following counties, Martin and St. Lucie. * WHEN...Until 800 PM EST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 608 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Port Saint Lucie, Walton, Stuart, Jensen Beach, Palm City, Saint Lucie Nuclear Power Plant, Port Salerno, White City, Hobe Sound, Sewall's Point, North River Shores, Nettles Island, Witham Field, Port Saint Lucie River Park, Indian River Estates, Ocean Breeze Park, Rio, Waveland and Hutchinson Island South. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
