...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...
East Fork White River.
Driftwood River near Edinburgh.
Muscatatuck River at Vernon.
.Significant and potentially major flooding is expected to develop
in the East Fork White basin due to several rounds of heavy rainfall
through Sunday. The current forecast includes five to seven inches
of rain over 72 hours in the East Fork White basin, but does not
include the final round of heavy rainfall expected Saturday and
Saturday night, so crests will likely be higher than those currently
forecast and last longer.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...East Fork White River near Bedford.
* WHEN...From Friday morning until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Backwater from Leatherwood Creek floods I
street at the outskirts of Bedford. High water begins to affect
some rural residents. Extensive backwater occurs along local
streams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- There is no current observed data.
- Forecast...The river will oscillate around flood stage with a
maximum value of 28.2 feet Wednesday, April 09.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
