Warning for the following rivers in Alabama...
Tombigbee River At Bevill Lock and Dam affecting Sumter, Greene
and Pickens Counties.
Tombigbee River At Gainesville Lock and Dam affecting Marengo,
Greene and Sumter Counties.
.Forecast heavy rainfall is expected to produce rises over the
Tombigbee River basin and a flood warning is now in effect for the
Tombigbee River.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Tombigbee River at Gainesville Lock and Dam.
* WHEN...From Tuesday evening until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 101.0 feet, Flooding of low lying agricultural and
wooded lands in the area occurs.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 77.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late Tuesday evening and continue rising to a crest of 102.0
feet early Wednesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 101.0 feet.
Instruction:
