...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers...
Ohio River at Portsmouth.
Ohio River at Cincinnati.
Ohio River at Maysville.
Ohio River at Meldahl Dam.
Ohio Brush Creek near West Union.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Ohio River at Portsmouth.
* WHEN...Until Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 55.0 feet, Backwater flooding affects portions of
Sciotoville, New Boston and other sections outside of the flood
wall area. Backwater flooding along Pond Creek near West
Portsmouth floods some county roads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 50.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 55.0
feet early Monday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage early Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 50.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
