Ohio River At Parkersburg affecting Athens, Washington and Wood
Counties.
For the Ohio River...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Ohio River at Parkersburg.
* WHEN...From Monday morning to early Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, Backwater effects will start to cause
problems along the Little Kanawha River. Happy Valley Road in
Happy Valley starts to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 30.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
Monday morning to a crest of 36.2 feet early Monday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Monday
evening.
- Flood stage is 36.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
36.1 feet on 03/24/1945.
