Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following
county, Massac and western Kentucky, including the following
counties, Crittenden, Livingston, McCracken and Webster.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 842 AM CDT, Even though the heavy rain has ended, flooding
continues across much of the warned area. Between 6 and 9
inches of rain have fallen since the start of the event on
Wednesday. Additional light rainfall amounts up to one tenth
of an inch are possible in the warned area.
- Flooding impacts will continue.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Paducah, Metropolis, Providence, Marion, Calvert City,
Reidland, Lone Oak, Sebree, Clay, Rosiclare, Brookport,
Dixon, Salem, Burna, Joy, Ledbetter, New Columbia, West
Paducah, Barkley Regional Airport and Grand Rivers.
