...The National Weather Service in Birmingham AL has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Alabama...
Locust Fork At Sayre affecting Walker, Jefferson and Tuscaloosa
Counties.
.Heavy rainfall is expected to produce rises over the Black Warrior
River basin and a flood warning is now in effect for the Black
Warrior River at Sayre.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Locust Fork at Sayre.
* WHEN...From Monday morning to late Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 25 feet, Flooding of low lying wood lands and
agricultural lands along the Locust Fork occurs.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 4.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow morning to a crest of 27.8 feet early Tuesday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday
evening.
- Flood stage is 25 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
