Mississippi River Near Greenville affecting Issaquena, East
Carroll, Washington and Chicot Counties.
Mississippi River At Natchez affecting Concordia, Adams and
Wilkinson Counties.
Mississippi River Near Arkansas City affecting Desha, Washington,
Chicot and Bolivar Counties.
Mississippi River At Vicksburg affecting Warren, Claiborne,
Jefferson, Tensas and Madison Counties.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Natchez.
* WHEN...From late tonight to Friday, May 02.
* IMPACTS...At 53.0 feet, Some camps and houses are flooded around
Fort Adams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 47.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a crest of 54.0 feet Tuesday,
April 22.
- Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
