Myers Dam, Shawneetown and Golconda. .Minor to major flooding remains forecast along the Ohio River from Owensboro downstream to Golconda. Water levels continue to rise, with crests expected this weekend into early next week. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ohio River at Mount Vernon. * WHEN...Until Sunday, April 20. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 49.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:00 AM CDT Saturday was 49.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 49.9 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday, April 20. - Flood stage is 35.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 49.8 feet on 01/18/1950.
