White River at Petersburg and Hazleton. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... White River at Edwardsport. ...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in Indiana... White River at Elliston. .On the East Fork White...Moderate flooding will end late tonight at Shoals...yet flooding will continue at all points from Rivervale to Shoals through at least Monday night. On the White River...major flooding will continue at both Petersburg and Hazleton into Monday...followed by moderate flooding at both points into Wednesday...and minor flooding into the weekend. Meanwhile flooding has ended at Elliston...and minor flooding is expected to end at Edwardsport early Tuesday. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Petersburg. * WHEN...Until late Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, During the Great June 2008 flood, flood waters were at the edge of SR 56 near Bowman. US Highway 50 closed as record flood levels from Edwardsport area approached. During the June 2008 flood less water came from the Shoals area than in January 2005 flood. Shoals was above 5 ft higher during January 2005 and Edwardsport about 1.5 ft lower. Not much heard from the Petersburg area, but great agricultural damage and Dodge City probably cleared out. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 PM EDT Sunday /8:30 PM CDT Sunday/ the stage was 26.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 PM EDT Sunday /8:30 PM CDT Sunday/ was 27.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late Saturday morning and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
