...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Louisiana...
Amite River At French Settlement affecting Livingston and
Ascension Parishes.
For the Amite And Comite Rivers...including Olive Branch, Comite
Joor Rd, Darlington, Grangeville, Magnolia, Denham Springs, Bayou
Manchac Point, Bayou Manchac Near Little Prairie, Port Vincent,
French Settlement, Maurepas...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Amite River at French Settlement.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS...At 4.5 feet, Backwater flooding will isolate fishing
camps. Low-lying roads in the Maurepas area will be impassable.
Louisiana Trace will be impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 4.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 3.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 4.6
feet late this afternoon before beginning to fall.
- Flood stage is 4.0 feet.

Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
