...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Louisiana...
Amite River At French Settlement affecting Livingston and
Ascension Parishes.
Amite River At Maurepas affecting Livingston Parish.
For the Amite And Comite Rivers...including Olive Branch, Comite
Joor Rd, Darlington, Grangeville, Magnolia, Denham Springs, Bayou
Manchac Point, Bayou Manchac Near Little Prairie, Port Vincent,
French Settlement, Maurepas...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Amite River at French Settlement.
* WHEN...Until tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS...At 4.5 feet, Backwater flooding will isolate fishing
camps. Low-lying roads in the Maurepas area will be impassable.
Louisiana Trace will be impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 4.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 3.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise fall below flood
stage late tonight.
- Flood stage is 4.0 feet.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
