...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Louisiana...
Amite River At French Settlement affecting Livingston and
Ascension Parishes.
Amite River At Maurepas affecting Livingston Parish.
For the Amite And Comite Rivers...including Olive Branch, Comite
Joor Rd, Darlington, Grangeville, Magnolia, Denham Springs, Bayou
Manchac Point, Bayou Manchac Near Little Prairie, Port Vincent,
French Settlement, Maurepas...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Amite River at Maurepas.
* WHEN...Until late tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 4.0 feet, Low-lying roads near Lake Maurepas will
begin to flood. Louisiana Trace will have standing water in some
places. Several roads between Killian and Maurepas will be
impacted.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 4.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 4.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late this evening and continue falling to 3.2 feet Sunday
morning.
- Flood stage is 4.0 feet.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
