* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Anson, Chatham, Cumberland, Durham, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Orange, Richmond, Sampson, Scotland, Wake, Wayne and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1126 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. - Stream gages across central and southern North Carolina indicate many creeks and streams are rising rapidly or already out of their banks. Minor flooding will continue to be possible overnight, even after the rain ends. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
