* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE...Mainly rural areas in East Central Gove County. * WHEN...Until noon CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 136 AM CDT, Flooding persists over portions of far East Central Gove County. - The public reported 4 feet of water over County Road 82 near the Trego County line at 1030 PM CDT Monday evening. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... mainly rural areas of East Central Gove County - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
