Flooding begins along the Neuse Riverwalk. Water nears the base of the holding tank at the water treatment plant. At 18.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. The Smithfield town park and the Neuse Riverwalk at the US70 bridge are flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 13.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 16.7 feet tomorrow morning.
