Neuse River Near Clayton affecting Johnston County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neuse River near Clayton. * WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Minor overflow occurs on both banks. Water reaches the edge of the Neuse River Greenway trail. At 10.0 feet, Upstream of the gage site, the Neuse River Greenway at Covered Bridge Road begins to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:15 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 8.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 9.2 feet this evening.
