* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast North Carolina, including the
following county, Currituck.
* WHEN...Until 315 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 926 PM EDT, the public reported substantial standing water
in the warned area, especially around Corolla. Flooding is
ongoing. Between 6 and 10.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Grandy, Corolla, Point Harbor, Poplar Branch, Bertha,
Aydlett, Jarvisburg, Coinjock, Waterlily, Powells Point,
Mamie, Barco, Spot and Harbinger.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when
water begins rising.
