Cape Fear River At William O Huske Lock And Dam 3 affecting Bladen and Cumberland Counties. Northeast Cape Fear River Near Burgaw affecting Pender County. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North Carolina... Waccamaw River near Freeland affecting Brunswick and Columbus Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Cape Fear River at Elizabethtown. * WHEN...Until late Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Flood waters will reach the top of the navigational lock. The river will spread farther into lowlands, affecting building access roads closer to the river. A few buildings closer to the river may be cutoff by the flood waters. The lower part of Cape Owen Manor Road may begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:25 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 25.6 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage this afternoon to 24.3 feet and then begin rising just after midnight tonight. It will then rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to 25.8 feet Saturday morning.
