Flooding begins along the Neuse Riverwalk. Water nears the base of the holding tank at the water treatment plant. At 18.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. The Smithfield town park and the Neuse Riverwalk at the US70 bridge are flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 16.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this evening and continue falling to 8.5 feet Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
