Virginia...
Clinch River Near Richlands affecting Tazewell County.
For the Clinch River...including Richlands...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Clinch River near Richlands.
* WHEN...Until late Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, water begins to flood baseball field near
water treatment plant.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:15 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 7.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 10.5 feet tomorrow evening.
It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
