For the New River...including Galax, Allisonia, Radford, Glen Lyn, Hinton...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...New River at Allisonia. * WHEN...Until Sunday afternoon. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 AM EDT Friday the stage was 10.6 feet and rising. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:30 AM EDT Friday was 10.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.5 feet tomorrow morning.
