Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Dickenson county in southwest Virginia.
* WHEN...Until 815 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of low-lying and flood-prone locations along
the Pound River and the Upper Levisa Fork is imminent or occurring
due to continued runoff from earlier rainfall. Other creeks may be
exceeding their banks as well.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 314 PM EDT, Automated river gauges on the Pound River at
Norland and the Levisa Fork at Vansant show strong rises.
Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
warned area.

Clintwood, Haysi, John Flannagan Lake, Breaks Interstate,
Trammel, Clinchco, McClure and Nora.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
