* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of North Carolina, including the following counties, Surry and Yadkin and southwest Virginia, including the following county, Patrick. * WHEN...Until 945 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 350 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain has ended, with occasional showers moving over the warned area. However, flooding is ongoing due to between 3 and 4 inches of rain earlier today. Rivers and creeks will continue to rise through the evening as runoff continue collect in these waterways. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Ararat River and Anglin Branch. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
