Broad River In SC Near Blacksburg affecting Cherokee and Cleveland Counties. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Broad River In SC near Blacksburg. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Moderate Flooding continues. The Broad River may be significantly restricting operations at Lockhart Dam and may be overtopping Cherokee Falls Dam. At 25.0 feet, Major Flood Stage. Record flooding is ongoing. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 25.4 feet. - Action/Advisory stage is 13.0 feet. - The Broad River near Blacksburg has exceeded the flood of record of 24.18 feet set on February 7, 2020. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 25.9 feet this afternoon.
