* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Bland and Tazewell. * WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 453 PM EDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Big Creek, Burkes Garden Creek, Bluestone River, Clinch River, Blue Spring Creek and Beech Fork. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
