For the South Fork Shenandoah River...including Luray...Minor
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...South Fork Shenandoah River near Luray.
* WHEN...Until late tonight.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Portions of Kaufmann Mill Road, Ganders
Drive, and Egypt Bend Road begin to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 15.5 feet, or 1.5 feet
above flood stage.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:45 PM EDT Saturday was 15.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late tonight and continue falling to 13.0 feet Tuesday
evening.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
