Georgia...
Withlacoochee River above Valdosta (Skipper Bridge Rd) affecting
Lowndes and Brooks Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Withlacoochee River above Valdosta (Skipper Bridge Rd).
* WHEN...Until Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 140.0 feet, Highway 122 east flooded near bridge.
Water intrudes into backyards along Winding Way, Park Lane, and
Meadowbrook Drive.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 140.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 PM EDT Sunday was 140.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 140.7
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage Wednesday evening.
- Flood stage is 135.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
140.4 feet on 12/26/2014.
