For the Appomattox Basin...including Farmville, Mattoax, Matoaca...

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, River Rd downstream of the gage near the
railroad bridge begins to flood.

- At 3:05 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 18.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 3:05 AM EDT Wednesday was 18.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
this afternoon and continue falling to 8.4 feet early
Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
