...The National Weather Service in Lubbock TX has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Texas...
Double Mountain Fork Brazos near Lubbock 4ESE affecting Lubbock
County.
* WHAT...Excessive rainfall which has fallen over the past several
hours is expected to result in flooding near Buffalo Springs Lake.
* WHERE...Double Mountain Fork Brazos near Lubbock 4ESE.
* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Flooding over FM-835 just west of Buffalo
Springs will likely require closure of the highway. Flooding of
the loop road around the west end of Buffalo Springs Lake is also
likely. The onset of flooding at FM-835 may be delayed by 4 to 6
hours after the river gauge at Southeast Loop 289 exceeds 11 feet
or about 1000 CFS.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
