Description:
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Missouri, including the
following county and independent city, Saint Louis and Saint Louis
City.
* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 653 AM CST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain had fallen
overnight which has combined with recent rains to cause rapid
rises on local creeks and streams. Flooding is already
occurring along many streams, with numerous roads impacted by
flood waters.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
St. Louis, St. Charles, Florissant, Chesterfield, Wildwood,
University City, Ballwin, Kirkwood, Maryland Heights, East
St. Louis, Hazelwood, Webster Groves, Ferguson, Arnold,
Manchester, Creve Coeur, Overland, Clayton, Cahokia and
Jennings.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
