Meramec River at Valley Park.
Meramec River at Fenton.
Meramec River at Pacific.
Meramec River near Arnold.
River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 48 hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Meramec River near Arnold.
* WHEN...From late tonight until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 34.3 feet, Near this height, Old Baumgartner Road
begins flooding near the Mattese Creek bridge.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 AM CST Tuesday the stage was 16.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight and crest near 34.3 feet Friday
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions change.
