Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. A
number of roads remain closed due to flooding of creeks and
streams and due to poor drainage.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Missouri, including the
following counties, Franklin and Jefferson.
* WHEN...Until 800 PM CST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 155 PM CST, local law enforcement reported a number of
roads remain closed due to flooding in the warned area.
Between 6 and 10 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wildwood, Arnold, Washington, Festus, Union, Eureka,
Sullivan, Pacific, Pevely, Crystal City, St. Clair,
Herculaneum, Hillsboro, Byrnes Mill, Villa Ridge, Gray
Summit, Cedar Hill, High Ridge, Antonia and Murphy.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
