...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Arkansas...
White River At Batesville affecting Independence County.
For the Upper White River...including Calico Rock, Batesville...
Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...White River at Batesville.
* WHEN...Until Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, A portion of State Highway 14 near Oil
Trough may flood. Agricultural land along right bank floods. A
crest of 17 feet at the bridge is equivalent to 28 foot crest at
the Lock One Tailwater staff gage.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CST Tuesday the stage was 15.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.5
feet early Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage early Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.
