Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the
following counties, Aiken, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, Clarendon,
Lexington, Orangeburg, Richland and Sumter.
* WHEN...Until 1045 AM EST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 721 AM EST, Local law enforcement and Emergency Managers
reported flooding in the warned area. Flooding is occurring.
Between 6 and 12 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Aiken, Orangeburg, Barnwell, Manning, Bamberg, Denmark,
Brookdale, Aiken Mall, Williston, Blackville, New Ellenton,
St. Matthews, Holly Hill, Branchville, Summerton, Bowman,
Eastover, Elloree and Edisto Gardens.

Interstate 95 between mile markers 85 and 125.
Interstate 26 between mile markers 122 and 169.

Instruction:
Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.
