South Fork Shenandoah River near Lynnwood affecting Rockingham
County.
For the South Fork Shenandoah River...including Lynnwood...flooding
is possible.
* WHAT...Flooding is possible.
* WHERE...South Fork Shenandoah River near Lynnwood.
* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Farmland on both banks of the river begin
to flood between Lynnwood and Port Republic. Water covers Flank
Circle in Lynnwood and approaches homes in that area. Portions of
Power Dam Road and Captain Yancey Road between Lynnwood and
Berrytown are also flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:45 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 9.3 feet, or 6.8 feet
below flood stage.
- Forecast...Flood stage may be reached tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
