* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...The following areas, Prince of Wales and Southern Inner Channels. This includes the cities of Craig, Klawock, Hydaburg, Coffman Cove, Thorne Bay, Ketchikan, and Metlakatla. * WHEN...Until 11 PM AKST this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, other low-lying areas and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. Flooding may occur in poor drainage areas. Emergency Managers report that a small slide occurred sometime late Sunday night near Carlanna Creek in Ketchikan. Officials request that you immediately call in any unusual activity on hillsides. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall amounts over the southern panhandle Sunday through Tuesday afternoon have been 4 to 8 inches with localized amounts of around 10 inches in the Ketchikan area. New additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches with localized amounts of up to 3 inches are expected through Tuesday evening. Strong wind gusts of around 45 mph are also possible during this timeframe. - Storm drains should be kept clear of debris as much as possible.
