* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of western Kentucky, including the following counties, Calloway, Christian, Todd and Trigg. * WHEN...From midnight CST tonight through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional heavy rain from thunderstorms is expected to develop over the Flood Watch area early Wednesday morning. An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected, with locally higher amounts possible. Given that local streams are swollen and soils are saturated from Monday's heavy rain, isolated flash flooding and more widespread nuisance flooding are likely to develop Wednesday morning.
