Description:
* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, southeast winds 15 to 20
kt with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 1 to 3 ft occurring. For
the first Gale Warning, southeast winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts
up to 45 kt and waves 2 to 5 ft expected. For the second Gale
Warning, west winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and
waves 7 to 10 ft expected.
* WHERE...Ontonagon to Upper Entrance of Portage Canal MI.
* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 10 AM EDT this
morning. For the first Gale Warning, from 10 AM this morning
to 11 PM EDT this evening. For the second Gale Warning, from 2
AM to 2 PM EDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instruction:
Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
