Description:
* WHAT...For the first Gale Warning, southeast winds 25 to 35 kt
with gusts up to 45 kt and waves 9 to 14 ft occurring. For the
Storm Warning, southeast winds 30 to 40 kt with gusts up to 50
kt and waves 13 to 18 ft expected. For the second Gale
Warning, west winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and
waves 7 to 12 ft expected.
* WHERE...Lake Superior East of a line from Manitou Island to
Marquette MI and West of a line from Grand Marais MI to the
US/Canadian Border Beyond 5NM from shore.
* WHEN...For the first Gale Warning, until 4 PM EDT this
afternoon. For the Storm Warning, from 4 PM this afternoon to
11 PM EDT this evening. For the second Gale Warning, from 5 AM
to 5 PM EDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Storm force winds and hazardous waves will capsize
or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instruction:
Mariners should remain in port, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.
