Description:
* WHAT...For the first Gale Warning, southeast winds 25 to 35 kt.
For the Small Craft Advisory, southeast winds 15 to 25 kt. For
the second Gale Warning, southeast winds 30 to 40 kt.
* WHERE...East Entrance U. S. Waters Strait Of Juan De Fuca.
* WHEN...For the first Gale Warning, until 7 AM PST this
morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 4 PM this
afternoon to 4 AM PST Wednesday. For the second Gale Warning,
from 4 AM Wednesday to 10 AM PST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
Instruction:
A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
