Description:
* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 8 ft.
* WHERE...East facing reefs of Kosrae.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM ChST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Altimetry data shows seas remain between 7
and 8 feet. Additionally, scatterometer data shows a large area
of fresh to occasionally strong winds extends well beyond the
Date Line. As such, surf will remain elevated through the
weekend for the eastern reefs, possibly into portions of next
week.
Instruction:
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
