* WHAT...Hazardous surf of 8 to 11 feet and dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...For the High Surf Advisory, west and north facing reefs of the Marianas. For the High Rip Current Risk, west, north, and east facing reefs of Marianas. * WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 4 PM ChST Friday. For the High Rip Current Risk, through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A large northerly swell has moved into the region with altimetry and buoy data showing 10 to 13 foot seas across the far northern Marianas. Rip current risk for west facing reefs will start to come down tonight as the northwest swell become more northerly.
Instruction: 
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
