Description:
* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 5 to 8 feet expected in the surf
zone.
* WHERE...Hatteras Island beaches south of the Cape, and Ocracoke
Island beaches.
* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Localized ocean overwash possible for
vulnerable areas.
Instruction:
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
