Description:
* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet.
* WHERE...South and west facing reefs of Palau and Yap.
* WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As Invest 99W continues to develop northeast
of Palau and near Yap Proper, surf conditions will deteriorate
through Friday as south-southwest to westerly winds and swell
develop south of Invest 99W and along the monsoon surge/tail.
Northerly swell may also develop as Invest 99W moves northward and
continues to organized, potentially becoming a tropical cyclone
over the next 24 hours.
Instruction:
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
