Description:
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
between 12 and 20 inches, isolated areas of 2 feet possible in
northern Onondaga. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Madison, Northern Oneida, Onondaga, and Southern Oneida
Counties.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible under the
snow band. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce
visibility. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow will shift southward
through the NY Thruway corridor tonight into tomorrow morning. The
bands of snow are then expected to slowly lift back northward
tomorrow night into Sunday.
Instruction:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
