Description:
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
between 10 and 20 inches, with locally up to an additional 2 feet
across western Oneida county. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Madison, Northern Oneida, Onondaga, and Southern Oneida
Counties.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow will be located south of
the NY Thruway corridor this morning. The bands of snow are then
expected to slowly lift back northward this afternoon into Sunday.
Instruction:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
