Description:
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
between 4 and 10 inches for much of the county, but with locally
up to 15 inches across eastern portions of the county.
* WHERE...Northern Erie and Southern Erie Counties.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4
mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be very
difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday
evening and Tuesday morning commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A potent cold front will move through
Wednesday night, ushering in strong, gusty winds and impactful
lake effect snow Wednesday night through Thursday night. The
combination of snow and blowing snow may create significant travel
impacts, and additional winter weather headlines will likely be
needed for this period.
Instruction:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can

visibility, and road conditions.
